UI/UX design for websites and interfaces

I design website structures and interfaces in Figma. Before development, I organise content, user journeys and components to clarify what a person needs to see and do on each screen.

UX concerns how people understand and navigate a product; UI concerns the interface, from typography to button states. I bring both together in a prototype that makes design choices tangible and open to review before they become code.

Who I work with

Businesses, entrepreneurs and independent professionals planning a new website or restructuring an existing one. Design is a useful starting point when content, navigation or the main user actions are not yet clear.

What’s included

  • Page structure and content priorities agreed in the brief.
  • Wireframes for the screens and journeys included in the project.
  • Responsive Figma interfaces with hierarchy, typography and component states.
  • A navigable prototype and development handover guidance.

How I work

  1. Goals and materials

I start with the audience, intended actions and available content. We define pages, functionality and constraints before choosing the visual direction.

  2. Structure and prototype

I organise information and design the screens. The prototype lets us discuss choices and gather feedback before development.

  3. Handover and development

We agree which components and states need documentation. I can develop the interface, or hand the design over to your development team.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between UI and UX?

UX defines how someone understands and moves through a website; UI defines how its elements look and behave. The interface should make the choices in the user journey visible and understandable.

Does UI/UX design include development?

Design and development are separate activities. The proposal specifies whether delivery includes the Figma design only or its implementation in code as well.

Can you redesign an existing website?

Yes. I can work from existing pages to review structure, navigation and interface design. The brief defines which content and features should stay and which should change.

What do you need to start the design?

Useful inputs include goals, audience, planned pages, available copy, brand materials and visual references. Mention any missing elements in your enquiry, as they affect the work to plan.

How much does website design cost and how long does it take?

An estimate depends on the number and complexity of screens, available content, components and agreed revisions. Describe the website, required features and any deadline so the scope can be assessed.
